CoreLogic Inc. has determined that the shadow inventory figures it has been reporting quarterly for the past seven years are flawed — and, in most cases, have been too low by as much as 60% . CoreLogic has revised all shadow inventory data for every month dating back to 2005 to reflect it’s new accounting methodology. For instance, April’s shadow inventory is now 2.35 million homes nationwide as opposed to the prior number which was 1.52 million homes.
