Fannie Mae Foreclosures Postponed

On Monday, Fannie Mae announced that it will suspend evictions on foreclosed residential units from December 19, 2012 until January 2, 2013. That does not mean that the foreclosures will not continue, but families living in their homes will not be removed until after the 2^nd day of the new year. Fannie Mae representatives stated “the holidays are a chance to be with loved ones and we want to relieve some stress at this time of year. We encourage homeowners having difficulty to reach our for help as soon as possible.”
